Thanks to a fresh, balanced spring with a warm summer, without excess heat or rain the 2004 is a great vintage. The Cottá 2004 has a brilliant and intense colour; at the nose it offers notes of red and black fruits together with a nuance of mint. On the palate it displays notable length as well as a great combination of finesse and power, with layers of ripe fruits, more evident as the wine opens up in the glass. The tannins are expressive and bold.

Vinification Fermentation and maceration using natural yeasts takes about 14 days.
Refining Malolactic fermentation is completed in French barriques for approximately 18-20 months. 25% of the barriques used are new, while 75% have been used previously up to 4 times.
